I grew up in Rhode Island surrounded by the coastal towns and soft mountains of New England. There I fell in love with the character and landscape. I paint primarily en plein air, working directly from life whenever possible. My subjects are most often drawn from nature near to my home, though I studied architecture and find it ties me to a place nearly as much as the natural landscape does. I travel often and bring my easel whenever I can.
